New England native, Bruce Lippincott, a nature photographer and traditional darkroom printer, has more than 30 years experience. He displays over 120 images in color, at outdoor venues, galleries and open studio weekends at his home studio.
Landscapes, seascapes, cloud formations and harbor views are used to portray the rhythms of nature, such as wind through the forest or dawn over the ocean. From rivers and wetlands to waves on the shore, the beauty of water is a major theme explored in scenes from New England and the Canadian Maritimes.
With compositions grounded in the sharpness of every detail, but going beyond the boundaries of realism, Bruce’s work conveys the visionary experiences discovered in nature’s magic moments.
All images are recorded on film and printed by Bruce in his real “old-fashioned” darkroom, using state-of-the-art 200-year Fuji paper. Archival materials and all cotton mats are used in every step from matting to framing, thus ensuring a very permanent image!
